02 / MODERN SURVEY TECHNOLOGY

The ground truth.
From a new perspective.

RTK drone surveying brings detailed site information into the engineering workflow. Aerial mapping and ground observations help us understand terrain, assess existing conditions and develop informed designs.

Real-time kinematic (RTK) positioning improves how drone imagery is located. Survey accuracy still depends on site conditions, flight planning, ground control and independent checks—we establish the approach around your project’s needs.

DATA WITH A PRACTICAL PURPOSE

Topographic mapping

Contours and terrain information to support grading, drainage and infrastructure design.

Orthomosaic imagery

A coordinated aerial view to help teams see site features and communicate existing conditions.

Surface models & volumes

Digital terrain information and stockpile volume analysis for planning and project monitoring.

Ground-based 3D laser scanning

Leica laser scanning captures detailed point clouds for CAD models of buildings, tunnels and streets, supporting existing-condition drawings and assessments.

Construction progress mapping

Repeat site capture to document change and support construction coordination.

Deliverables, coordinate system and accuracy requirements are agreed for each project.

03 / OUR APPROACH

One connected workflow.

  1. 01

    Understand

Define the project, site constraints and information needed to make sound decisions.

  2. 02

    Capture

Collect site information using the survey methods appropriate to the terrain and project.

  3. 03

    Design

Translate checked site data into practical civil engineering drawings and solutions.

  4. 04

    Support

Help the project team carry the design through construction.

04 / ABOUT ADC

Rooted in Newfoundland
& Labrador.
Looking ahead.

ADC Engineering brings civil engineering and modern mapping technology together for infrastructure projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.

ADC is an employee owned and operated, female-led Indigenous engineering company, with offices in Port au Port and Stephenville. Our focus is practical engineering, clear communication and an informed understanding of each site.

Drone surveying supports that work: it helps connect the information collected in the field with the decisions made at the drawing board.

ADC Engineering is a member of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB).
